Air Conditioning Maintenance Contracts
Planned preventive maintenance is regular, scheduled work carried out to keep equipment in good working order and to optimise its efficiency and accuracy. The primary goal of preventive maintenance is to reduce the possibility of equipment failure before it actually occurs. It is designed to preserve and enhance equipment reliability by replacing worn components before they actually fail.
Preventative planned maintenance provides the following to your system:
- Longevity of life
- Money saving and energy efficiency
- Optimising up time
- Improving staff efficiency, comfort and air quality
- Comply with current F-Gas legislation
- Reduce the risk of breakdowns or replacement costs
Refrigerant R22 replacement
Is your Air Conditioning System Compliant?
Under new legislation R22 refrigerants are to be removed and replaced
The reason for the refrigerant R22 replacement is because the refrigerant has a negative impact on our ozone layer and as a result most companies are responding to the legislation change by complying with the regulations earlier than the set deadline of 2015.
Therefore units which use R22 refrigerants should be replaced as soon as possible. R410A is an example of refrigerant being used in place of R22.
How easy is it to get my refrigerant R22 replacement?
Consumers need to contact a reputable Air Conditioning Installer such as Ohms as we are both experienced and F-Gas qualified in carrying out such installations. The safe removal and disposal of R22 systems is hazardous and it is a legal requirement that a qualified F-Gas technician carries this out.
The R22 refrigerant phase out plan
In January 2010 the fluorinated refrigerants used in over 50% of UK air conditioning units was completely banned. This is not to say it isn’t still present in many UK air conditioning units. If you’re not sure whether you have a unit containing R22 call us now and we’ll survey your site for free and find out whether you need an R22 replacement.
Liability
The complete removal of R22 has to be complete by 2015, so act now to minimise the cost of your replacement as well as the impact on the environment. Anyone not complying with the refrigerant R22 replacement risk the following:
- Business interruption
- Environmental litigation
- Health & Safety litigation
- Losing insurance cover
- Loss of critical units
Many businesses are unaware of the new R22 Refrigerant laws. Ohms can help you become compliant with the refrigeration R22 replacement legislation.
